History of the “Korets Sugar Mill”

The Korets sugar mill was built in 1898 by Count Pototskyi, who owned the factory till the October revolution.

From 1920 till September, 1939, Korets sugar mill belonged to Polish cooperative association.

During the World War I (1941—1945), Korets sugar mill was destroyed.

After the Korets’ liberation from German-Fascist invaders in February 1944, Korets sugar mill was rebuilt.

Since 1944, the factory had been subjected to Lviv Regional Sugar-Beet Trust of the Ministry of Food Industry of USSR, and since 1986 — to Rivne one.

On the basis of State Property Fund of Ukraine #97 of January 31, 1996 and registered decree of Korets Regional State Administration — certificate # 00372730 of February 14, 1996, the state establishment Korets sugar mill was reformed to a Public Company “Korets Sugar Mill”.

On August 2, 2000, public company “Korets Sugar Mill” was declared a bankrupt and since August 29, 2000, the sugar mill is representing the branch establishment of CJSC “Favoryt” and has a legal name BE “Korets Sugar Mill” of CJSC “Favoryt”.
